Why we built it

Every trip starts with the same question: what do I actually need to bring? For a weekend city break that question is almost trivial. For a multi-stop international trip with children, a dive trip with specialty gear, or a school field trip with dozens of students, the cognitive load is enormous — and historically the only tools have been personal spreadsheets, photocopied handouts, and the fragile memory of whoever coordinated last year.

We built PackCleared because we thought AI plus a thoughtful user experience could change the shape of that problem. Not by replacing the human judgment of an experienced trip leader, but by taking the mechanical coordination work — who brought what, what's missing, what the weather will look like at stop three, which kid forgot their inhaler — and letting software handle it.

Minor safety isn't a feature.It's architecture. When organizations use PackCleared with minors, layered protections activate automatically — age floors, default-deny cross-workspace data flow, audit-logged consent, and silent enforcement that never advertises adult features to children. Software should know you without stalking you. PackCleared learns how you pack by watching what you do inside the app — not by scraping social feeds, buying email lists, or tracking you across the web. That learning stays private to your account.

Scale should work for small groups too.A couple planning a honeymoon shouldn't get a stripped-down version of what a school district gets. The core packing intelligence is the same product; the surrounding coordination tools scale with the size of the trip.

Where we are

PackCleared is in active development, iterating rapidly with early users. We're building toward formal certifications (EU-US Data Privacy Framework, Common Sense Privacy rating, iKeepSafe COPPA Safe Harbor) and expanding vertical support for schools, dive/outdoor businesses, and large group events.
